What is IoT ?


IoT stands for the Internet of Things. It refers to a network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances, and other items embedded with sensors, software, and connectivity that enable them to collect and exchange data over the internet.

The main idea behind IoT is to connect devices and enable them to communicate with each other and with humans in a seamless and intelligent way. This can lead to many benefits such as increased efficiency, improved safety and security, and better decision-making. For example, a smart home could automatically adjust the temperature based on the weather outside, or a connected car could alert the driver when maintenance is needed.

IoT has a wide range of applications across many industries, such as healthcare, transportation, agriculture, manufacturing, and energy. The technology is rapidly advancing and becoming more ubiquitous, with billions of devices already connected to the internet and the number expected to grow significantly in the coming years.
